If it is a Triangle;

A. of ∆ = 72 cm²

base of ∆ = 8 cm

height of ∆ = x

Therefore,

A = 1/2 * base * height

72 = 1/2 * 8 * x

Therefore, x = ( 72 * 2 ) / 8

= 72 / 4

= 18 cm x = 18 cm

Else if it is a parallelogram;

A = 72 cm²

base = 8 cm

height = x

Therefore,

A = base * height

72 = 8 * x

Therefore, x = 72 / 8 = 9 cm

x = 9 cm
