let the side of the square be a. Area of the square=a^2 . Perimeter of the square =4(a)=4a. it is given a^2-8a=0=> a(a-8)=0=> a=0 or a=8 So a=8. length of the side of the square is 8.

Heya !!
Let side of square be X unit.
Area of square = (Side) ² = X² unit²
And,
Perimeter of square = 4 × Side = 4X unit.
According to the question,
Area of square = 2 ( Perimeter of square )
X² = 2 ( 4X )
X² = 8X
X² - 8X = 0
X (X - 8 ) = 0
X = 8 unit.
Side of square = X = 8 units.
