The area of circle is equal to the area of a square. Find the ratio of the perimeters of them​

Answer:

Let A be the side of the Square and R be the radius of the Circle

Given, Area of Square = Area of Circle or A^2 = Pi . R^2

from the above, R^2 = A^2/Pi &

R = Sq. root of A^2/Pi = A/ Root Pi

Now, Perimeter of Square= 4 times its side = 4A

Perimeter/Circumference of the Circle = 2 Pi R = 2 Pi . A/Root Pi = 2 A RootPi

Ratio of the Perimeters of the Square to Circle = 4A/2A RootPi = 2/RootPi (Answer 1)

Alternatively, Ratio of Perimeter of Circle to Square = Root Pi/2 (Answer 2)
