The area of cross-section of a pipe is

the rate of 54 km/h. If the pipe is always
60% full, find the volume of water, in litres,

Speed of water flowing out of the pipe = 54 km/hr.

=> 54 km/hr

=> 5400000 cm/60 min

=> 90000 cm/min

So in 1 minute, the water flows 90000 m.

In 5 minutes it flows, 90000 * 5 = 450000

Volume = Area * height

=> 10.4 * 450000

=> 4680000 cm^3

=> 4680 litres
