Water flowing out per minute = 2,43,00,000 litres

Explanation:

Given:

The area of cross section of a pipe is 5.4 cm² and water is pumped out of it at the rate of 27 km/h.

The area of cross section of pipe is = 5.4 cm²

Speed of water =27 km/h

Let's express speed of water in cm/min,

27 Km/h = 27000 / 60 m/min = 450 m/min

450 m/min = 45000 cm/min

Water passing through the cross section, W = 5.4 * 45000 = 2430000 cm3/min

W = 24300 m3/min

As 1 m3 = 1000 litres, water released per minute = 24300 * 1000

= 2,43,00,000 litres per minute.
