.The area of cross section of the first end of a U-shaped tube is 0.001m² and that of
the second end is 1m² respectively. On applying a force on the first end of the tube, a
force of 10000N was experienced at the second end. Calculate the force experienced
at the first end of the tube?

Answer:

the answer is 10N

Explanation:

Pressure remains same in all parts of U tube according to Pascal's law

therefore,

 \frac{Force }{ Area}  = constant

Force at the first end is F1 =?

Force at the second end is F2= 10000N

Area at the first end of the tube A1=

0.001 {m}^{2}

Area at the second end of the tube is A2=

1 {m}^{2}

 \frac{F1}{ A1}  =  \frac{F2}{A2}

on putting the values we get,

  \frac{F1}{0.001}  =  \frac{10000}{1}  \\ F1 = 10000 \times 0.001

F1 = 10N
