The area of crosssectio of two wires of coper are in the ratio 1:3 and their length are in ratio 5:3, then find the ratio of their electrical resistance

since the two wires are made of copper then they have the same resistivities.
and thus let their resistivity be r1 and r2.
now suppose, 1x and 3x are the respective areas and let, 5y and 3y be their respective length.
so, by the formula of resistivity we have,(let their resistances be R1 and R2)
(1x×R1)/5y:(3x×R2)/3y=R1:R2=5:1.
