Circumference of cylinder = 110cm
2 pie r = 110
2×22/7×r = 110
r = 110×7/22 = 35m
Curved surface area of cylinder = 4400cm
2pie r h = 4400
2×22/7×35×h = 4400
220×h = 4400
h = 4400/220 = 20cm

Given :-

  • The area of curved surface of cylinder = 4400cm²
  • The circumference of its base = 110cm

 \\

To Find :-

  • Height of the Cylinder

 \\

Solution :-

❏ As we know that, Curved Surface Area of a Cylinder is given by 2πrh and Circumference of Circle is given by 2πr . In the question it is given that circumference of its base = 110cm Therefore :

Putting the Values :

⟾ C.S.A of Cylinder = 2πrh

⟾ 4400 = 110 × Height

⟾ 4400 / 110 = Height

⟾ 440 / 11 = Height

40cm = Height

Thus Height of the Cyclinder is 40cm

Additional Info :

  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h
  • T.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²
  • Volume of cone = ⅓ πr²h
  • C.S.A of cone = πrl
  • T.S.A of cone = πrl + πr²
  • Volume of cuboid = l × b × h
  • C.S.A of cuboid = 2(l + b)h
  • T.S.A of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh)
  • C.S.A of cube = 4a²
  • T.S.A of cube = 6a²
  • Volume of cube = a³
  • Volume of sphere = 4/3πr³
  • Surface area of sphere = 4πr²
  • Volume of hemisphere = ⅔ πr³
  • C.S.A of hemisphere = 2πr²
  • T.S.A of hemisphere = 3πr²
