areaof an equilateral triangle is = (a^2*√3)÷4= 9*√3

side the given equilateral triangle is 6cm.

therefore area of a triangle is (base*altitude)÷2

area= (base*altitude)÷2

9*√3= (6* altitude)÷2

18*√3=6*altitude

(18*√3)÷6=altitude

3*√3= altitude

3√3 cm is the altitude
