The area of floor and four walls of a room is 25 meter square and 40 meter square respectively.Find the total surface area of the room?

Here is your answer...

Let length, breath and height be L,B and H respectively

Given that,

Area of floor of room = 25 m²

L × B = 25 m²    ...........(1)

And 

Area of four walls = 40 m²

2(LH + BH) = 40 m²

2BH + 2HL = 40 m²     ...........(2)

Now,

Total surface area of the room = 2LB+2BH+2HL

= 2×25 + 40 .....[ from (1) and (2) ]

= 50 + 40

= 90 m²
