Given :-

The  area of the floor which  consists of 100 rhombus-shaped  tiles is 15 sq.cm. If total cost  of polishing the floor is rupees 600.

To Find :- Cost of polishing

Solution :-

Know that,

1 m = 100 cm

Therefore,

15 cm = \frac{15}{100}  m

15 cm = 0.15 m

Find the area of 100 tiles.

Area of one tile = 0.15 m

Area of hundred tiles = 0.15 \times100

                                     = 15 m

Find the cost of polishing.

Cost of polishing per sq. m \[ = \frac{{Total\,\,Cost}}{{Total\,\,Area}}\]

                                               = \frac{600}{15}

                                               = 40

Hence, the polishing cost per sq.m is Rs. 40.

Given,

The area of floor which consists of 100 rhombus shaped tiles is 15 sq.cm. If total cost of polishing the floor is rupees 600

We know,

1m=100cm

So,

15 cm=\frac{15}{100}

15cm=0.15m

Area of one tile = 0.15m

Area of hundred tiles = 100\times0.15

= 15

The cost of polishing per sq.m =\frac{total cost}{total area}

=\frac{600}{15}

= 40

Therefore, the polishing cost per sq.m is 40 rupees.
