Given - Total area of flower patch in garden = 360 m².
Find - i) area used for growing roses
ii) area used for growing marigold
Solution - Area used for growing roses is 1/3 of total area.
Hence, area for roses = (1/3)*360
Area for roses = 120 m².
Now remaining area for other flowers = 360 - 120
Remaining area = 240 m².
Remaining area was divided into three equal parts for marigold, sunflower and jasmine. Hence, area for marigold = 240/3
Area for marigold = 80 m².
Therefore, i) area used for growing roses = 240 m².
ii) area used for growing marigold = 80 m².
