Answer:

22

Step-by-step explanation:

are of cuboid =2(l+b)*h

2(l+b)*h=220

2(l+b)*5=220

2(l+b)=44

l+b=22

The perimeter of the floor of the hall is 44 metres. (Option 3)

• Given data :

The room is cuboid in shape, which means each of the walls, floor and ceiling are rectangular.

• Let, the length of the room = l

Width of the room = w

• Area of four walls = 220 m²

Height of the hall = 5 m

• According to the formula of the area of the cuboid, the area of the four walls of this room will be :

= Total area - (floor area + ceiling area)

(2lw + 10l + 10w) - 2lw

• And,if we compare the two values of the area of the four walls, then we will get the following equation :

(2lw + 10l + 10w) - 2lw = 220

10l+10w = 220

l+w = 22

• So,the perimeter of the floor = 2×(l+w) = 22×2 = 44 metres (answer)
