Hello mate,

Let the breadth of the room be x meters,

Then the length of the room is 3x meters

and the height of the room is 3 meters

and it is given that area of the 4 walls=144 m square

This implies,

The lateral surface area of the room=144 m square

2(length+breadth)*height=144 m square

2(3x+x)*3m=144 m

3x+x=144/2*3

4x=24m

x=24/4=6m

So,The breadth of the room =x=6 m

and,The length of the room =3 x=3*6=18 m

So,The area of the base =length *breadth=6 m*18 m=108 m square

Thanks for questioning..
