The area of four walls of the room is 51 cm^2. If the room is 5 m long and 3.5m wide find the height of the room.

\sf{\underline{Answer -}}

The height of the room is 3 m.

\sf{\underline{Explanation -}}

Given,

The area of four walls of the room is 51 cm².

And the room is 5 m long and 3.5m wide.

Since we know that, Curved surface area of cuboid -

⇒ 2h (l + b)

⇒ 51 = 2h (5 + 3.5)

⇒ 51 = 2h × 8.5

⇒ 51 = 17h

⇒ 51/17 = h

⇒ h = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of four walls= 51 cm^2

Length= 5 m

Width= 3.5 m

Let height= h m

ATP,

2h(l+b)=51

2h(5+3.5)=51

17h=51

h=51/17=3

Height of room= 3 metres(Ans)
