Area of a quadrilateral ABCD = 1/2 x AC x (Sum of the lengths of the perpendicluars on AC)
Area of the quadrilateral = 165 cm2
Length of one of the perpendicular = 12 cm
Length of AC = 15 cm
Let the length of the other perpendicular be 'x' cm
165 = 15/2 (12 + x)
330 = 15 (12 + x)
22 = 12 + x
22 - 12 = x
x = 10
Hence, the length of the perpendicular from D on AC = 10 cm.
