We know that,
area of rectangle = length× breadth

Also,

$area \: = \frac{43}{8} {m}^{2}$

$length \: of \: one \: side \: = \frac{9}{8}$

So,

we have,


$\frac{43}{8 } = \frac{9}{8} \times x$

$\frac{43}{8} \times \frac{8}{9} = x$

it can be seen that 8 in the numerator and denominator can be cancelled

so,

$\frac{43}{9} = x$

Hence the length of other side


$= \frac{43}{9} m \: or \: 4\frac{7}{9} m$
