The area of rectangle is 1.5 times of the area of the square. Length of rectangle is 3 times its breadth. If side of square is 15m what is the perimeter of the rectangle?

Given,

length(l)=3×breadth(b)

l=3b

Side of square=15meters

Area of square=side×side

=15×15

=225meter square

Area of rectangle=1.5×Area of square

=1.5×225

=337.5

Area of rectangle=length × breadth

337.5=3b×b

337.5=3(b square)

337.5/3=b square

112.5=b square

b=√112.5

b=10.6☺

length=3×breadth

length=3×10.6

length=31.8☺

Perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)

=2(31.8+10.6)

=2(42.4)

=84.8meter
