The area of rectangle is 144m. if the length is 20 m, then find the breadth of the rectangle.​

Length of the Rectangle is 20m

To find

breadth of the Rectangle

Since, length and area of Rectangle is given so,we assume the breadth some Variable and then apply formula for area of Rectangle.

Let the breadth of the Rectangle be 'x'

Length of the Rectangle is 20m

Area of Rectangle= length × breadth

=>Area of Rectangle = 20*x

=>20x = 144

=>x= 144/20= 72/10= 7.2

since x is 7.2

∴ Breadth of the Rectangle is 7.2m.

Check:

Area of Rectangle= 20*7.2= 1440= 144m²

Extra information=>

Area is Space or region which is covered by a solid object/figure it is said to be area of that object.

Area depends upon the dimensions of the figure.If dimensions is larger then larger will be the area of that object/figure and vice -versa.

Perimeter of Rectangle= 2(length + breadth)
