let the breadth of the rectangle be x.

therefore Length of the rectangle = 2x + 1

area of the rectangle is given = 528cm²

→ l × b = 528cm²

→ (2x + 1)(x) = 528unit²

→ 2x² + x = 528unit²

→ 2x² + x - 528 = 0

by splitting method,

→ 2x² + (33x - 32x) - 528 = 0

→ 2x² + 33x - 32x - 528 = 0

→ 2x(x + 33) - 32(x + 33) = 0

→ (x + 33) (2x - 32) = 0

therefore x = -33 or x = 16

since, dimensions can't be in negative.

so the breadth of the rectangle is 16 units
