The breadth of that field is 24 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of field = 40 m

Let the breadth be x

So, Area of field = Length \times Breadth = x \times 40 = 40x

We are given that The area of rectangular field is 15 times the sum of its length and breadth

Area =15(l+b)=15(40+x)

So,15(40+x)=40x

600+15x=40x

600=40x-15x

600=25x

24=x

Hence the breadth of that field is 24 m
