Let the height and breadth be '5x' and 'x' respectively,

Area of a rectangle,

= l*b

= x*5x

= 5x^2

Now equate,

5x^2 = 5/16

'5' is cacelled out,

x^2 = 1/16

x = 1/4

Now height of the lawn,

= 5x

= 5 * 1/4

= 5/4

= 1.25

The answer is given below :

We know that,

1 hectare = 10000 m²

5/16 hectares = 3125 m²

The ratio of base : height = 1 : 5

Let, x be the common multiple.

Then, the base and the height of the rectangular line are x hectares and 5x hectares.

The area of the rectangular field

= base × height

= x × 5x m²

= 5x² m²

Given that,

5x² = 3125

=> x² = 625

So, x = 625, we take the positive value.

So, the base of rectangular lawn is 625 m and height be 3125 m.
