SOLUTION

area of a rectangle = length × width

=> 400 = 25 × width

=> width = 400/25

=> 16 cm

The width of the rectangular plate is 16cm

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × (length + width)

=> perimeter = 2 × (25 + 16)

= 2 × 41

= 82 cm

The perimeter of the rectangular plate is 82cm

VERIFICATION

area = length × width

RHS :-

LHS = RHS
