The area of rhombus is 120 cm2 and one of the diagonals is 8 cm. Find the other diagonal.

Answer:

area of rhombus =120 cm²

diagonal =8 cm

area of rhombus =d1 into d2

d1=8

d2=120/8=14

Area  \: of  \: rhombus \:  is  \: 120  \: cm {}^{2}

To Find:

Other diagonal.

Solution:

We know that

Area of Rhombus

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \:  product \:   of \:   its \:   diagonals

 =  > 120cm {}^{2}  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 8 \times d {}^{2}

 =  > d {}^{2}  =  \frac{120 \times 8}{2}

 =  > d{}^{2}  = 30

Hence, the value of other diagonal is 30
