Question :-

The area of rhombus is 120cm² and one of the diagonals is 8cm find the other diagonal.

Answer :-

Given :-

Area of rhombus = 120cm²

Diagonal(1) of rhombus = 8cm

Find :-

Diagonal(2) of rhombus

Solution :-

Area of Rhombus =

⇛1/2 × d1 × d2

⇛1/2 × 8cm × x = 120cm²

⇛1/2 × x = 120cm²/ 8cm

⇛1/2x = 15cm

⇛x = 15×2

⇛30cm

Hence, The other diagonal of rhombus is 30cm

Verify :-

Area of rhombus =

⇛1/2 × d1 × d2 = 120cm²

⇛1/2 × 8cm × 30cm = 120cm²

⇛1/2 × 240cm = 120cm²

120cm² = 120cm²

Hence, Verified
