Solution -

We have,

  • Area of a rhombus = 320 cm²
  • One diagonal of the rhombus is 16cm.

We have to find the other diagonal. Firstly, consider

  • \sf{d_1 = 16}
  • \sf{d_2 = ?}

Area of a rhombus is given by

\large{\bf{\longmapsto{\boxed{\pink{Area= \dfrac{1}{2} \times d_1 \times d_2}}}}}

Putting values

\tt:\implies\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: {\dfrac{1}{2} \times d_1 \times d_2 = 320}

\tt:\implies\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: {\dfrac{1}{2} \times 16 \times d_2 = 320}

\tt:\implies\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: {8 \times d_2 = 320}

\tt:\implies\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: {d_2 = \dfrac{320}{8}}

\frak:\implies\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: {\purple{d_2 = 40}}

\small\underline{\sf{Hence,\: other\: diagonal\: of\: the\: rhombus\: is\: 40cm.}}

A N S W E R :

  • Other diagonal of the rhombus is 40 cm.

Given :

  • Area of rhombus is 320 cm²
  • One diagonal of the rhombus is 16 cm

To find :

  • Find the other diagonal ?

Solution :

  • Area of a rhombus = 320 cm²

As we know that,

Formula Used :

★ Area = 1/2 × d_1 × d_2

=> 1/2 × d_1 × d_2 = 320

=> 1/2 × 16 × d_2 = 320

=> 16/2 × d_2 = 320

=> 8 × d_2 = 320

=> d_2 = 320/8

=> d_2 = 40

Hence,

  • Other diagonal of the rhombus is 40 cm.
