Diagonal of Rhombus = 40cm

Area of Rhombus = 1/2( Diagonal)²

= 1/2×(40)² = 1/2× 1600 = 800 Cm²

Answer:

The area of rhombus is 894.43 cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

The side length of rhombus is 30 cm and the one of the diagonal is 40 cm.

Diagonal of a rhombus divides the area in two equal triangles.

All the sides of a rhombus are same.

Using heron's formula the Area of a triangle is

A=\sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

Where,

s=\frac{a+b+c}{2}

s=\frac{30+30+40}{2}=50

Area of one triangle is

A=\sqrt{50(50-30)(50-30)(50-40)}

A=447.2136

The area of rhombus is twice of the area of triangle

A=2\times 447.2136=894.4272\approx 894.43

Therefore the area of rhombus is 894.43 cm².
