the area of square ABCD is 36 square inches. The area of the rectangle WXYZ is 20 square inches. If the two shapes have equal perimeters, what is the length of the longer side of the rectangle WXYZ?

The area of square ABCD= 36

=36/4

=6(of one side)

= the area of rec. WXYZ= 20

= both figures are same

= 6-20= 14
