Then a = 64

=> a = 8 cm

Again, E, F, G and H are mid-

points of sides of the

square. Then

AH = AG = 4 cm

In ΔAGH,

(GH) = (AG) + (AH)

=> (GH) = 4 + 4

=> (GH) = 16 + 16

=> (GH) = 32

=> GH = √(32)

=> GH = 4√2

Now, Area of EFGH = 4√2 × 4√2

= 32 square meter.
