The are of the square field = 5184 m²

⇒ (side)² = 5184

⇒ side = √5184

∴ side of the square is 72 m

Now,

According to the question,

the perimeter of the square = the perimeter of a rectangle(whose length is twice of its breadth)

⇒ 4 × side = 2(l+b)

⇒ 4 × 72 = 2(2b + b)

⇒ 288 = 2(3b)

⇒ 288 = 6b

⇒ 288 ÷ 6 = b

⇒ 48 = b

∴ breadth (b) of the rectangle = 48 m

length = 2b = 2 × 48 = 96 m

Now,

Area of the rectangle = lb

= 96 × 48

= 4608 m²
