• The area of square lawn of a school is 42025 square units. If you complete 5 rounds of the square lawn. How much distance you travelled?

• Area of the square lawn = 4205 sq. units

• If we complete 5 rounds of the square lawn. How much distance we travelled?

According to the question, we have to complete 5 rounds i.e, 5 rounds around the lawn which is its border. Basically, we'll have to find the perimeter of the lawn first. Then, the perimeter will be equal to the 1 round of the square lawn. In order to the find the total distance covered by taking 5 rounds , we'll multiply 5 with the distance covered in 1 round.

As the area of the square lawn is 42025 sq.units. So,

 \longmapsto \rm { {Area}_{(Square)} = {(Side)}^{2} } \\ \\ \\ \longmapsto \rm { {Area}_{(Square)} = 42025 }\longmapsto \rm { {Side}_{(Square)} = \sqrt{42025} } \\ \\ \\ \longmapsto \boxed {\pmb {\rm \red { {Side}_{(Square)} = 205 \: units }} } \\ \\

Henceforth,

  • Measure of side of the square lawn is 205 units.

Now, as we know that round is taken on the border of the field/lawn, and the measure of border is called the perimeter of the particular object. So, let's calculate its perimeter in order to find the distance covered in 1 round.

 \longmapsto \rm { {Distance \: covered}_{(1 \: round)} = {Perimeter}_{(Lawn)}} \\ \\ \\ \longmapsto \rm { {Distance \: covered}_{(1 \: round)} = 4 \times Side } \\ \\ \\ \longmapsto \boxed {\pmb {\rm \red {{Distance \: covered}_{(1 \: round)}= 820 \: units }} } \\ \\

Here, we got the distance covered by us if we complete 1 round of the lawn. Now, let's multiply it with 5 in order to calculate the total distance covered by us if we complete 5 rounds of the square lawn.

 \longmapsto \rm { {Distance \: covered}_{(5 \: rounds)} = {Perimeter}_{(Lawn)} \times 5} \\ \\ \\ \longmapsto \rm { {Distance \: covered}_{(5 \: rounds)} = (820 \times 5) \: units } \\ \\ \\ \longmapsto \underline{ \boxed {\pmb {\rm \red {{Distance \: covered}_{(5 \: rounds)}= 4100 \: units }} }} \\ \\

Henceforth,

  • We travelled 4100 units of the square lawn.

Area of the lawn = 42025 unit²

For one round = Perimeter of the lawn

If length be let, = (l) units

∴ l² = 42025

⇒ l = √[(205)²]

⇒ l = 205 units

Now, perimeter = 4(205) units = 820 units

For 5 rounds, 820 units × 5 = 4100 units.

∴ I travelled 4100 units distance.
