Answer:12 cm ,15 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length be x m and breadth be y m.

A.T.Q

Original area=x*y

=xy

New Area=(x+1)*(y-2)

(xy-20)=(x+1)*(y-2)

xy-20=xy-2x+y-2

-20=-2x+y-2

2x=y+18 ------------------------------(1)

New area=(x-3)*(y+4)

xy+12=xy+4x-3y-12

24=4x-3y

4x=3y+24 ------------------------------------(2)

Subtract equ.1 from 2

4x-2x=3y+24-y-18

2x=2y+6

x=y+3. ------------------------(3)

Put the value of x in equ.1

2x=y+18

2y+6=y+18

y=12

Therefore,

Length=12+3

=15 cm

Breadth=12 cm
