The area of the base of a cuboidal water tank is 80 sq m. Find the height of water in the tank if it contains 2.0 * 10 raised to the power 5 litres of water.

Solution:-

Volume of water = 2*10⁵ liters :  (Given)
Volume = 2*10*10*10*10*10
= 200000 liters
As, we know that 1 cu m = 1000 liters
So volume in cu m = 200000/1000
Volume of water = 200 cu m
Now,
Height of water in tank = Volume of water in tank/Area of the base
= 200/80
= 2.5 m
Height of the water in tank is 2.5 m
