Given :-

  • Area of base of cylindrical water tank = 9.63 m²
  • Height of cylinder = 4 m

To find :-

Capacity of the vessel = ?

Solution :-

Apply the formula

Volume = Base Area × Height

⇒ Volume = 9.63 m² × 4 m

⇒ Volume = 38.52 m³

Now, for finding the capacity;

We know that

1 m³ = 1000 Litres

Similarly,

38.52 m³ = 38.52 × 1000 = 38520 litres

For converting litres to kilolitres, we divide the value in litres by 1000

So 38520 litres

= 38520 ÷ 1000

= 38.52 kilolitres
