Hlw mate!!

Volume is basically area of cross section* length
So for desired result V= A*h
= 1386*14= 19404 cm^3

Given:-

  • Area of base of a right circular cylinder is 1386 cm²
  • Height of the cylinder is 14 cm.

To find:-

  • Find the volume of the cylinder ?

Solutions:-

  • Let the radius of the right circular cylinder be 'r' cm.

We know that,

The area of the base of a right circular cylinder = πr²

According to the question:-

=> 1386 = 22/7 × r²

=> 1386 × 7 = 22 × r²

=> 9702 = 22 × r²

=> 9702/22 = r²

=> 441 = r²

=> √441 = r

=> 21 = r

=> r = 21cm.

Now,

The volume of the cylinder = πr²h

According to question:-

=> 22/7 × 21 × 21 × 14

=> 22 × 21 × 21 × 2

=> 44 × 441

=> 19404cm²

Hence, the volume of the right circular cylinder is 19404 cm³.

Some Important:-

Volume of cylinder ( Area of base × height ).

= (πr²) × h

= πr²h

Curved surface = ( Perimeter of base ) × height.

= (2πr) × h

= 2πrh

Total surface are = Area of circular ends + curved surface area.

= 2πr² + 2πrh

= 2πr(r + h)

Where,

r = radius of the circular base of the cylinder.

h = height of cylinder.
