ɢɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Area of Base = 15400 cm²
  • Volume = 92400 cm³

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Curved surface area of cylinder

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

We know that,

Area of Circle = π = 15400 cm²

22/7 × r² = 15400

r² = 15400 × 7/22

r² = 700 × 7

r² = 4900

r = √4900

r = 70 cm

Now,

We know that,

Volume of Cylinder = πh = 92400

πr²h = 92400

πr² × h = 92400

15400 × h = 92400

h = 92400/15400

h = 6

Now,

We know that,

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

2πrh = 2 × 22/7 × 70 × 6

2 × 22 × 60

44 × 60

2640 cm²

Hence,

  • Curved surface area = 2640 cm²

The area of the base of a right circular cylinder is 15400cm².

Formula of area of base = πr²

πr² = 15400

22/7 × r² = 15400

r² = (15400*7)/22

r² = 4900

r = 70

Radius is 70 cm.

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

We are given that  its volume is 92400 cm³.

πr²h =92400

(22/7) × (70)² × h = 92400

(70)² × h = 92400 × (7/22)

4900 × h = 29400

h = 6

Height is 6 cm.

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2×(22/7)×70×6

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2640cm².

The area of the curved surface is 2640cm².
