Question:-

The area of the base of a right circular cylinder is 616cm² and its height is 25cm. Find the volume of the cylinder.

Given:-

  • Area of right circular cylinder is 616cm².
  • Height us 25 cm.

To find:-

  • The volume of cylinder.

Solution:-

  • Let the radous if the cylinder be r.

S=\pi \: r ^{2}

 616=  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {r}^{2}

 {r}^{2}  =  \frac{616 \times 7}{22}

 {r}^{2}  = 196cm

r =  \sqrt{196}

r = 14 \: cm

Therefore the value of radius is 14 cm.

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

⇒ \frac{22}{7}  \times  {14}^{2}  \times 25

⇒15400 cm³.

The volume of cylinder is 15400 cm³.

Step-by-step explanation:

Learn more formulas:-

  • Volume of cuboid = l×b×h
  • Volume of cube= a³
  • Volume of cylinder =πr²h
  • Volume of cone = ⅓ πr²h
  • Volume of sphere of radius = 4/3πr³
  • Volume of hemisphere = ⅔ πr³.
