The answer is 100N.

Pressure = Force/Area

50N/.5m^2

50 x 2 N/m^2

100N/m^2

Given : The area of the bottom of a box is 0.50 m² and weight is 50 N

To Find : the pressure exerted by the box

Solution:

Pressure = Force / Area

Pressure = ?

Force = 50 N

Area = 0.50 m²

Pressure = 50/0.5

=> Pressure = 100 N/m²

pressure exerted by the box is 100 N/ m²

Additional Info :

Pressure exerted by a force depends on the magnitude of the force and area ( surface area )

Pressure is the force applied perpendicular to the surface of an object per unit area over which that force is distributed.

Units of pressure is  Pascal

Also using base units :   N/m²,    kg/(m·s²),   J/m³

Dimension: M L⁻¹ T⁻²
