Answer:

diameter of circle = diagonal of square = √2a

radius = √2a/2 = a/√2cm

area of circle in square = π r²

= π (a/√2)²

= π a²/2

if given area is same then statement is true if not then statement is false..

This statement is false.

A circle inscribed in a square of side 'a' cm has its radius half the length of the side of the square.i.e(radius ,r =a÷2)

Hence area of the square =π×(a÷2)^2 cm^2

=π×(a^2)/4 cm^2

=(πa^2)/4 cm^2
