Proper Question

The area of the four wall of a room is 80 m²  and it's height is 4m then find the perimeter of the floor ?

Solution

Area of the four walls of the room = 80 m²

Area of a rectangle = 2(l+b)h (where l , b and h are length , breadth and height of a rectangle respectively.)

Here,

2(l+b)h = 80 cm²

Height of the room is given as 4m.

\sf 2(l+b) 4 = 80

\sf 2(l+b) = \dfrac{80}{4}

2(l+b) = 20 cm.

We know that 2(l+b) is the formula for finding perimeter of a rectangle .

∴ Hence Perimeter of the room = 20m
