area of a square = 8 × 8 = 64 cm^2

:: it is stated that area of rhombus = area of square

so as we know area of rhombus is

.. 1/2 ×d1 × d2

so one diagonal is 8cm

1/2 ×8 × D2

4× d2= 64

so d2 =64/4

= 16 cm

May it helps u

the side of rhombus= 8cm

hight of rhombus = 8cm

area of rhombus = 8×8 = 64cm .sq.

area of rhombus = area of square

64 = (side) sq.

(8)sq. = (side)sq.

8= side

therefore , the side of square is 8cm.
