The area of the square and rectangle are equal if the side of the square is 40 cm and the breadth of the rectangle is 25 cm. Find the lenght of the rectangle. Also find the perimeter of the rectangle.

Area of square=side×side
40×40=1600cm
since area of square and rectangle are equal
so,
area of rectangle=length×breadth
1600=l×25
l=1600÷25
l=64
Now length=64cm
breadth=25cm
therefore perimeter =2×(l+b)
2×(64+25)
178cm.
