Area = L²

The area of the square field is increased by 5%

Area after increase = L² + (5/100)L²   = 1.05L²

Length of sde after increase = √1.05L² = 1.025L  (approx)

4L = 4 * 1.025L = 4.1 L

Increase = 4.1L - 4L = 0.1L

=> (0.1L/4L) * 100 = 2.5 %
