The area of a square is given to be 24200 m²

We will use this data to find out the side of the square

Area of square =( side )²

         24200 = ( side )²

         side = √24200

                 = 155.56 m

Relation betwwen side and diagonal of square:

diagonal = √2 × side

diagonal = √2 × 155.56

               = 219.99

Hence, the length of the diagonal will be 219.99 m

☘️ Answer :

  • Diagonal = 220 m

☘️ Solution :

Given that,

Area of the square = 24200 sq.m.

Let the side be x.

As we know that,

Area of a square = side×side

24200 = (side)²

24200 = x²

√24200 = x

155.6 = x

.°. x = 155.6

Using Pythagoras theorem

→ AC² = AB² + BC²

→ AC² = x² + x² [x = 155.6]

→ AC² = (155.6)² + (155.6)²

→ AC² = 24200 + 24 200

→ AC² = 48400

→ AC = √48400

→ AC = 220 m

Therefore, the length of diagonal of square = 220 m
