The area of the square is 50

Given:

Side of Square =12 cm

∴  Area of square =12×12

                               =144 cm2

Now,

let the breadth of rectangle be x

∴  Area of rectangle =Length×breadth

                               =16×x

According to question,

Both the areas are equal. So,

⟹16x=144

⟹x=16144=9cm

∴breadth(x)=9 cm

Now ,

Perimeter of rectangle =2(Length+breadth)

                                       =2(16+9)

                                       =50cm
