The first parrallel side is x
They said other parallel is longer by 6 cm.
So, the second parallel side is x + 6cm
Height = 9cm
Area = 180cm^2
Area of trapezium = 1/2 × height (sum of parallel sides)
180cm^2 = 1/2 × 9 (x + x + 6cm)
180cm^2 = 1/2 × 9 (2x + 6cm)
180cm^2 = 9x + 6cm
9x = 180 - 6 = 174cm
x = 174/9
x = 19.3
First parallel side = 19.3cm
second parallel side = 19.3 + 6
= 25.3cm
Hope this helps!
