Let the bigger side of trapezium be x,
area of trapezium={1/2}×(sum of parallel side)×height,
248={1/2}×{x+(x-4)}×8,
496=2x-4,
500=2x,
x=250,----------(I)

from above ,
I st side=250 cm
II nd side=246 cm

Akash772: its in metre but you have done in cm
