Answer:

The length of the other side of the trapezium is 6.6 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

        Area of the trapezium= 1/2*h(a+b)

        Let the length of the other side be 'x'

                         34cm^2       =1/2*4(10.4+x)

                     Therefore X = 6.6cm

                   Hope it helps!

Given

we have given area of trapezium is 34cm²

length of one parallel side is 10.4cm

Height of trapezium is 4cm

To find

we have to find length of the other parallel side

Tips to solve such Question:

1.firstly apply formula for area of trapezium because area is given in the Question.

2.Now,put the given values into the formula and assume the value some Variable which is not given in the Question.

3.Now,our formula gets completed along with variable and hence we evaluate and find the variable's value which would be our Required answer.

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Area of Trapezium= (sum of its parallel sides )×height ÷2

we have given only length of one parallel side which is 10.4cm

let the length of the other parallel side be'x'

Now,

Area of Trapezium=( 10.4+x)× 4÷2

=>34×2= 41.6+4x

=>68= 41.6+4x

=>4x= 68-41.6

=>4x=26.4

=>x= 26.4÷4

=>x=6.6cm

Hence,the length of the other parallel side is \bold{\red{6.6\:cm}}

Check:-

Area of Trapezium=( 10.4+6.6)×4 ÷2

Area of Trapezium= 17×4÷2

Area of Trapezium=68÷2

Area of Trapezium= 34cm²
