Solution :

Check the attachment for the figure of the triangle

y=0 is the x axis.

x = 6 is a line parallel to the y axis.

y=x is a line passing through the origin with equal intercepts

The triangle formed is a right angled triangle .

Area = ½ × AC × BC

= ½ × 6 × 6

= 18 square units.

Answer : (b) is the required answer .

Given :-

y = x

x = 6

y = 0

To Find :-

Area

Solution :-

Since,

x = y

x = 6

y = 6

Now

From graph

b = 6

h = 6

Area of triangle = 1/2 × b × h

Area = 1/2 × 6 × 6

Area = 3 × 6

Area = 18 cm²
