Answer:

The area of the triangle is 12.5 sq. units.

Explanation:

Let the two adjacent side of the triangle be base as, “B” and height as, “H”.

We have,

Vector B = 4i+3j+4k

Vector H = 5i+0j+0k

Area of triangle = (1/2) * (Base) * (Height)

We will solve the multiplication of the two vectors by matrix.

∴ Area of triangle = ½ *  \left[\begin{array}{ccc}i&j&k\\4&3&4\\5&0&0\end{array}\right]

                                = ½ * (0i+20j+(-15)k)

∴ magnitude of area of triangle = ½ * √{(20)²+(-15)²}

                                                     = ½ * √({625)}

                                                           = ½ * 25

                                                            = 12.5  sq. units
